In the golden age of beat 'em ups, Vendetta stood out with its rich, violent aesthetic and sense of humor. The game features four distinct protagonists: Blood, the all-rounder; Hawk, the heavy-hitter; Boomer, the agile fighter; and Sledge, the kicking specialist. The game's greatest feature is its detailed move set—you can continue to attack enemies after they're knocked down and even perform powerful team-up attacks with a second player. Additionally, environmental objects like barrels, cans, and even dropped chains can be used as deadly weapons. Its level design, spanning from slums to abandoned construction sites, offers a cinematic and immersive experience, making it an excellent choice for co-op play.

Strategy Guide:

• Ground Attacks: The biggest difference between this title and other beat 'em ups is its "downed state" system. When an enemy is knocked to the ground, don't just wait. Get close and press the attack button to stomp or punch them. This not only drains their health quickly but also prevents their invincibility frames and counter-attacks upon getting up. This is the most efficient way to defeat tougher mini-bosses.
• Using Team-Up Attacks: If you're playing with two or more players, be sure to make good use of team-up attacks. When two players grab an enemy from the front and back, they can trigger a powerful combo throw. In single-player mode, grabbing an enemy and then pressing the jump button performs a back suplex that creates an area-of-effect shockwave, clearing out enemies sneaking up from behind.
• Weapons & Environmental Interaction: Don't overlook any of the items in the environment. Besides common items like bricks and clubs, this game even lets you kick soda cans on the ground to damage enemies from a distance. When facing enemies with whips or chains, prioritize using a slide kick (press jump + attack simultaneously) to trip them and disarm them. Long-range weapons provide a significant advantage, allowing you to deal damage safely during boss fights.
