Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo. The story follows the evil witch Cackletta from the Beanbean Kingdom, who steals Princess Peach's voice in an attempt to awaken the "Beanstar," a mystical object capable of granting any wish. To recover her voice, Mario and Luigi form an unlikely temporary alliance with their arch-nemesis Bowser and set off for the foreign Beanbean Kingdom. Moving away from the static turn-based combat of traditional RPGs, this title creatively blends platforming, cooperative puzzle-solving, and "Action Command" combat that heavily emphasizes QTEs (Quick Time Events). With its hilariously expressive character animations and upbeat storyline, it has become one of the most celebrated masterpieces of the spin-off series.

Gameplay Tips:

While exploring the map, the A button controls Mario and the B button controls Luigi. As the story progresses, the brothers learn various Bros. Actions, such as Luigi using a hammer to flatten Mario so he can pass through narrow gaps, or Mario jumping onto Luigi’s shoulders to perform a High Jump.

In battle, mastering "Action Commands" is the ultimate key to victory: when performing standard attacks or high-powered "Bros. Attacks," pressing the corresponding A or B button at the exact frame will double the damage. During the enemy's turn, carefully observe the monster's attack telegraphs (such as who the monster is staring at or which foot it lifts); by jumping or swinging the hammer at the moment of impact, you can not only avoid damage entirely but also deal a lethal counter-attack. When facing the final boss, Cackletta's Soul, her core will constantly regenerate health. Prioritize using high-level Thunder and Fire-element Bros. Attacks to focus fire on her hands and head. Once the core is exposed, unleash your full power during its recovery frames to defeat her and save the world.
