"Teleroboxer" is a launch title for the Nintendo Virtual Boy (VB) console, released in 1995.
"Trello Boxer" is a pure boxing simulation game, but with the appearance of a sci-fi robot. The core mechanism of the game revolves around precise input and timing. Players need to simultaneously operate the two direction keys and two shoulder buttons of the VB handle to control the robot's left and right hands for straight punches, hooks, uppercuts, as well as blocking and dodging actions. The difficulty of the game lies in mastering the robot's "forward" and "retreat" states, which determine the force and distance of the punch. Each robot opponent has its own unique attack patterns and weaknesses. Players must carefully observe their movement patterns and use 3D effects to judge the timing and distance of punches in order to effectively knock down their opponents. The game has a total of 8 opponents with increasing difficulty, and each victory requires precise operation and strategic adjustments.
The player's robot has three stances on the field: forward, middle, and backward. Use the up and down keys of the left and right direction keys to control the punches of the left and right hands, and the shoulder buttons (L/R) for blocking. Ensuring your fists can hit your opponent is the primary task. If your robot is too far back and your opponent is too far forward, you can only throw "air punches." Therefore, you need to constantly adjust your stance to put you and your opponent at the best attack distance. When the opponent is close, use the backward stance to create distance for blocking or dodging; when the opponent is in a dazed state or needs a combo, quickly move forward.
Blocking is the key to survival. Many opponents' powerful attacks will only reveal weaknesses after a successful block. Use the L and R keys to block the left and right hands. You need to judge whether your opponent is using a left or right punch and use the corresponding side block to neutralize the damage. More importantly, when the opponent's fist hits your block, they will have a short period of stiffness, which is the best time for you to counterattack. Do not blindly punch, but "lure" your opponent to attack, then block, and quickly counterattack.
