Game Details:

While preserving the series' soul, this installment features fully 3D graphics presented in a 2.5D action format. The core of the game lies in fluid mobility; the protagonist, Hiryu, possesses exceptional climbing abilities, allowing him to seamlessly traverse walls, ceilings, and various complex terrains. The combat system is centered around the iconic plasma sword, the "Cypher." As the story progresses, players can unlock various elemental plug-ins such as Cold, Reflect, and Explosive, which are used to bypass specific mechanisms or strategically target enemy weaknesses. Additionally, the game incorporates "Metroidvania"-style exploration mechanics. The non-linear map design encourages players to backtrack to earlier areas after defeating bosses to use new abilities and find hidden health and energy upgrades.

Game Guide:

  • Master Climbing and Movement: Hiryu's claws allow him to cling to almost any surface. When facing dense projectiles or large mechs, avoid staying on the ground. Using the ceiling to maneuver or attacking from behind is key to survival.
  • Plasma Sword Attribute Switching:
    • Reflect: This is the most effective tool against gun-wielding enemies. It can deflect lasers and bullets, greatly reducing defensive pressure during combat.
    • Cold: Can freeze moving platforms or small enemies, allowing you to use them as springboards to reach hidden areas up high.
    • Magnetic: Creates homing attacks, perfect for dealing with flying fodder enemies.
  • Using Support Items: The small robots (Options) unlocked in the game are more than just auxiliary firepower. For example, the robotic panther can be used as a mount for a high-speed dash, while the eagle robot allows you to glide for short distances.
  • Specific Boss Strategies: Most bosses have clear attack patterns. For instance, when facing the "Mecha-Dragon," the key is to use the platforms on its back to constantly reposition and avoid its frontal breath attack.
  • Collection Tips: After acquiring a new sword element, be sure to check the map for color-coded doors. The red and blue doors that were inaccessible early on often hide Health Extensions that significantly increase your margin for error.
