An action-racing spin-off of the Rayman series, where players take control of Rayman and his companions to compete in on-foot races across vibrant, fantastical tracks.
Rayman Rush was released by Ubisoft in 2002. Set within the world of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, the game preserves the series' iconic art style. Unlike traditional racing titles, this game features a two-player foot-racing format where players navigate complex 3D tracks by climbing, sliding, and gliding to discover shortcuts. Featuring 12 tracks and a roster of playable characters including Rayman, Globox, and Admiral Razorbeard, the game is designed to deliver pure arcade-style racing thrills.
The core gameplay revolves around "rhythm" and "map memorization."
During combat, use the blue spheres found along the path to fire projectiles and disrupt opponents, or collect red spheres for an instant burst of speed. In "Championship" mode, the AI scales in difficulty as you progress, so it is recommended to first familiarize yourself with every turn in "Practice" mode. For complex terrain, gliding immediately after jumping is a universal technique for precisely adjusting your landing point. Be sure to hit all checkpoints on the track, as missing even one will invalidate that lap's results.
