This title builds upon the traditional beat 'em up formula by cleverly incorporating experience points and a leveling system. Players gain EXP by defeating enemies or collecting treasure chests. Leveling up not only increases their maximum health but also significantly boosts their character's defense and attack power. The game features 16 short and intense stages with a fast-paced rhythm, set across a variety of fantasy landscapes including forests, castles, caves, and airships. Each character has a unique combat style: for example, the Elf excels at dealing damage from a distance with a bow, while the Paladin boasts extremely high defensive capabilities. Additionally, the appearance of weapons and shields changes as they are leveled up, a visual progression that was highly appealing at the time of its release.
When facing the Red Dragon, Gildiss, standing at the far left or right edge of the screen is not completely safe. When the dragon breathes fire, watch its head movement. If it takes a deep breath, quickly move to the edge of the screen. If it's about to shoot a series of small fireballs, you can either jump over them or block with a shield. The Wizard and the Elf have a natural advantage in this fight, as they can deal high-frequency damage when the dragon extends its head.
